_Here's How We Catch-Up
Family Reunification
We work closely with families so that children who have been on the street can safely return home. Parents are involved in every step of our programs including our staff visiting families at home.
School Reintegration
Children start in a catch-up program where teachers from the school tutor small groups of students. After children have become accustomed to catch-up school, they are reintegrated fully into schools.
Soccer
Kids love soccer. Children are invited to join our soccer trainings as part of the catch-up programs. Soccer gives structure and keeps children busy and off of the streets.
Devotions
Our goal is that every child experiences the love of God. Each catch-up school has devotions after soccer. In Gasogi, we have Sunday morning devotions that kids can attend at a local government building.
School Lunches
It is hard to learn when you are hungry. We provide daily lunches to 45 children in our Gasogi program. (Children at Masori receive lunch from their school.) Children also receive snacks after soccer trainings.
Advocacy
The most important thing we can do is be there for kids and families in our programs. We assist in educational, medical and legal issues to make sure that families in our programs have the resources they need.
